- A breaker bar
- A 19mm socket
- A torque wrench
- A pry bar
- A piece of wood
Once you have gathered your tools, follow these steps:
1. Park your car in a safe location and apply the parking brake.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the crank pulley bolt. It is located in the center of the crankshaft pulley.
4. Place the 19mm socket on the crank pulley bolt.
5. Use the breaker bar to loosen the crank pulley bolt. You may need to use a lot of force to loosen the bolt.
6. Once the bolt is loose, remove it by hand.
7. If the bolt is difficult to remove, you can use a pry bar and a piece of wood to help you. Place the pry bar between the bolt and the pulley and use the wood to protect the pulley from damage.
8. Once the bolt is removed, you can remove the crank pulley.
When you are finished, be sure to reinstall the crank pulley bolt and tighten it to the proper torque specifications.
