1. Make sure the kill switch is in the off position.
2. Remove the front seat and side covers.
3. Disconnect the fuel line fitting on the lower left side of the fuel tank.
4. Disconnect the vent line fitting on the upper right side of the fuel tank.
5. Remove the fuel tank retaining bolts.
6. Lift the fuel tank off the motorcycle.
Be sure to take precautions when handling the fuel line fittings, as fuel may leak out.
