1.) Locate the starter under the intake manifold.
* Remove the intake manifold (7 bolts).
* Remove the upper intake plenum (4 bolts).
* Remove coolant hose (1 bolt).
* Disconnect throttle and cruise control cables.
* Remove 3 bolts holding intake to head (10mm) and remove intake (carefully lift up and out).
2.) The starter is located on the right, lower side of the engine.
* Unplug connector with a flathead screwdriver.
* Remove two 12 mm bolts holding starter in place.
3.) Remove starter and replace.
* Reinstall in the reverse order.
Tips
* You can save time by disconnecting the battery before you start. Be sure to reconnect before starting the engine.
