- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Socket set
- Trim removal tool
- New speakers
- Speaker wire
- Electrical tape
- Soldering iron (optional)
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the door panel.
3. Locate the old speakers.
4. Disconnect the speaker wires from the old speakers.
5. Remove the old speakers from the door.
6. Connect the new speaker wires to the new speakers.
7. Install the new speakers in the door.
8. Reconnect the speaker wires to the battery.
9. Test the new speakers.
Additional Notes:
- If the new speakers do not fit in the old speaker holes, you may need to enlarge the holes.
- If the new speakers do not come with speaker wire, you will need to purchase some separately.
- If you are not comfortable soldering, you can twist the speaker wires together and cover them with electrical tape.
- Make sure that the new speakers are properly secured before you reinstall the door panel.
