How do you remove key cylinder on a 1997 Lincoln mark viii?

1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the steering column cover in place.

3. Remove the steering column cover.

4. Locate the key cylinder. It is located on the right side of the steering column, just below the ignition switch.

5. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the key cylinder in place.

6. Pull the key cylinder out of the steering column.

7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the key cylinder.

8. Install the new key cylinder in reverse order.
