Replace brake rotor on 2004 ranger 4x4?

Tools & Materials:

- Jack and jack stands

- Lug wrench

- Socket wrench set

- Brake caliper lubricant

- Brake cleaner

- New brake rotor

- New brake pads (optional, but recommended)

Instructions:

1. Park your truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels, but do not remove them.

3. Raise the front of the truck and support it on jack stands.

4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the front wheels.

5. Remove the two bolts that hold the brake caliper in place.

6. Gently pry the brake caliper off the rotor.

7. Remove the old brake rotor.

8. Clean the hub surface of the wheel bearing with brake cleaner.

9. Install the new brake rotor.

10. Reinstall the brake caliper and tighten the bolts.

11. Reinstall the wheel and lug nuts.

12. Lower the truck and remove the jack stands.

13. Test the brakes to make sure they work properly before driving.
