Where is the cam sensor located on a 2000 silverado 1500 4.3 v6?

The camshaft position sensor (CMP sensor) on a 2000 Silverado 1500 4.3L V6 is located on the passenger side of the engine, at the front of the cylinder head. It's usually mounted fairly close to the distributor (if it has one; some did, some didn't depending on the exact configuration). You'll likely see a single-wire connector plugged into it.
