2018 Nissan Leaf registrations in Norway are rising fast

While first deliveries of the new 2018 Nissan Leaf in Norway started early this month, it was only in the last few days that registrations increased considerably. In the last 3 days 112 units were registered in the EV leading country.

In Norway, when supply isn’t a problem, the best selling car is usually the Volkswagen e-Golf, which this month has already 321 units registered. However, the new 2018 Nissan Leaf isn’t very far behind with 264 units and could become the best selling electric car this month in Norway.

Curiously, both these electric cars lack a TMS (Thermal Management System) to protect their batteries, which isn’t a big problem in cold climates.

Anyway, it’s obvious that the 2018 Nissan Leaf is just a stopgap until Nissan releases the e-Plus version, nonetheless this won’t stop the 2018 MY from sharing the highlights with Tesla Model 3 during the course of this year.

What do you think? Will the 2018 Nissan Leaf dominate EV sales globally this year, or just in countries where the lack of a TMS isn’t a big problem?

Thanks Michał for the heads up.
