1. Locate the emergency tailgate release lever. This is usually located on the inside of the car, near the tailgate handle.
2. Pull the emergency tailgate release lever. This will release the tailgate and allow you to open it.
If you are unable to locate or pull the emergency tailgate release lever, you may be able to open the tailgate by using the key.
To do this, insert the key into the keyhole on the tailgate and turn it clockwise. This will unlock the tailgate and allow you to open it.
If the key does not turn, the lock cylinder may be damaged. In this case, you will need to have the lock cylinder replaced.
