VW I.D to be the world’s first carbon neutral production car

The first of the Volkswagen I.D range is nearly here and is said to be the world’s first carbon neutral produced vehicle. This means these electric cars are to be clean and green all the way through their life. Renewable energy will be used to power the VW plant where the vehicles are produced, the battery production will be as sustainable as possible and as the production cannot be 100% emissions carbon-neutral VW claims they will balance this out with certified climate projects.

New van scrappage scheme for London micro-businesses and charities

The Mayor of London has introduced a new van scrappage scheme for micro businesses and charities operating in the London congestion charge zone. Funding up to £6,000 is available to help businesses make the switch to electric vans by scraping their existing vehicles if it does not meet the new emissions standards. To qualify, businesses must be registered in London or have entered the current congestion charge zone at least 52 times in the past 6 months. There are also incentives available for small businesses hoping to lease an electric van, contact us to find out more.
